Kevin Junor

Director, Coaching & Facilitation

Kevin Junor has recently completed a career spanning over three decades in the Ontario Public Service (OPS). During his OPS career, he held various leadership and advisory positions including Deputy Superintendent Operations at the Toronto Don Jail, and Manager, Institutional Services and Emergency Response Training with the Ontario Correctional Services College. He has been profiled and recognized as a “servant leader.” Kevin re-joined Forrest & Company in March 2019, having previously served as Director, Coaching & Facilitation, leaving in January 2009. We are pleased to welcome him back to the team.

Kevin is very involved with, and an advocate for community mentorship, and has chaired various Boards of Directors. After leading the merger to create a 350 million dollar financial institution, he was elected as the first Chairman of the Board for that organization. He was also the chair for the Policing Advisory Council.

Kevin is a 34 year veteran of  the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves. He achieved the position of Regimental Sergeant Major (the highest non-commissioned rank) for the Toronto Scottish Regiment before being commissioned to the rank of Captain. He has shared his influence on a global stage. In 2007, he was part of a group on a Canadian Forces Operation assigned to help restore and advise the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces after that country’s damaging civil war. Kevin spent several months providing tremendous guidance to the military as well as the villagers. During his military tenure, he co-chaired the Defence Visible Minority Advisory Group (DVMAG). During his five years in this capacity, the group addressed a number of issues on a national level.

Kevin Junor has succeeded in his double career, and has been recognized with many awards including the Order of Military Merit and the Harry Jerome Professional Excellence Award. Throughout his career, Kevin has earned countless accolades, and has been a motivational speaker, championing leadership, human rights and diversity. He is also a youth mentor and a leader in every sense of the word. In 2010, Kevin was recognized by Seneca College as a nominee for the Premier’s Award for outstanding college graduates.
