Jaki Scarcello has been with Forrest & Company Limited since 1998, working as Director, Coaching & Facilitation. She now lives in Southern California and travels each year to Asia, Europe, the former Soviet Union, and Australia. As a result of her extensive travels, Jaki has learned that one’s preconceived ideas about how people ought to live have evolved, and she credits this awareness with deepening her skills as a coach and development partner. Jaki’s 20+ year career within the private, public and not-for-profit sectors has given her great insight into the cultural impact of change, both organizationally and individually.
Jaki is a trusted advisor to executives and has a proven track record in developing high-impact programs. She was part of the collaborative team that designed and implemented Canadian Tire Acceptance Ltd. (CTAL) University, one of Canada’s first corporate universities. Within Forrest, she was instrumental in the design and development of a leadership coaching program to assist organizations in developing the coaching model, tools and processes that align with their business strategy and drive the achievement of stretch goals.
In 2006, Jaki reflected on her career, observing that she had followed the working lives of baby boomers, from the workplaces of their 30s and 40s, through to their midlife career changes. It was now time to turn her attention to the boomers’ transition to post-retirement activities. She set as her goal to engage the boomers in the later stages of life as purposefully, energetically and fabulously as every other stage of their lives. Her book, Fifty and Fabulous! The Best Years of a Woman’s Life was released internationally in 2010 to outstanding reviews. Jaki’s empathetic knowledge and unique skill set allows her to offer both individual and group experiences for women in transition. Her international travels mean that she has the opportunity interview men and women 50+ from all parts of the world, furthering her comprehension of their hopes and dreams for the future.
Jaki has a BA in Social Sciences from the University of Western Ontario. She has achieved her ICF (International Coach Federation) coaching certification.
